Modo Yoga San Diego

Why it made the list

Modo Yoga San Diego opened in 2017, founded by Frenny and Andrew as part of Modo Yoga, an international network of more than 70 hot-yoga studios built around community and environmental responsibility. The classes are heated and designed for every level, combining strength, flexibility and cardiovascular work, with sessions running 60, 75 or 90 minutes and gentler yin options alongside the signature hot flows.

The Clairemont Drive studio is also one of the most practical in the city. There’s abundant free on-site parking — a genuine luxury in San Diego — plus showers, lockers and space to linger over a cup of tea after class. Early-morning, midday and evening blocks on weekdays make it easy to fit in before or after work, and unlimited members get access to Modo’s online classes for days they can’t make it in.

Best for

Hot-yoga beginners who want a structured, welcoming introduction, and commuters who value easy parking and post-class showers.

Good to know

Bring a mat, a large towel and water; mats and towels are available to rent if you forget. Modo also offers an introductory membership for new students.
